Sorry I haven't been around for the last few days , but I had to go up to the Midlands for an emergency visit to my parents. Most of the ladies who know me from my workshops know that my lovely Dad has been very sick for a while. Unfortunately he passed away very suddenly on Friday morning. It was a great shock to all of us. We knew that his life expectancy was short but we did not expect him to be taken so suddenly. We are all heartbroken and so sad for our equally lovely Mum who has been through so much too. We loved our Dad so much and we'll miss him more than words can say. God Bless Dad. Through all of the trials & tribulations my brother Nick and his wife Lisa have been absolutely marvellous looking after Mum, first of all and then Dad when he came out of hospital. They have both been there from the very start of Dad's illness and they were both there at the end. They are both very special people and I love them both dearly. It was Lisa's birthday on Sunday and this is the card that I made for her. I based it on a layout I found whilst blog hopping. I used Papermania Blueberry Hill paper for the background & trim under the shaped panel. The white panel was cut from embossed paper and edged with a Martha Stewart punch. I added a shadowed panel, layered flowers and a ribbon bow. 'Lisa' & the sentiment were cut from glitter card. I finished the panel with self-adhesive pearls.
Carts used:
Shaped panel & LISA- Ashlyn's Alphabet
Birthday Wishes-Lyrical Letters
You are so special (inside)-Wild Card
Thanks for stopping by!
Heather
