U Rock!!

My kids keep me busy with orders for cards for their friends! I made this one for my youngest's friend Bruce. He plays the Bass guitar so I made this card for him. I used the Rock Star pad by DCWV. I cut out a Flying V guitar and layered it onto a star and added a tattoo and the words 'U rock!' I then added some great glitter called Opal Dust by Jo Sonja.It's great stuff with tiny circles of glitter in an irredescent glue base. Sorry about the glare in the photo but thats glitter and mirri card for ya!!!

I made this card for my eldest son's friend Rosie.

It is another of the great Wild Cards. I cut out the card base and then a liner from Nana's Nursery Girl by DCWV. I covered the back of the card with paper from the same pad and trimmed to fit. A piece of ribbon was tied around the narrowest part of the card and a handbag charm added with a tiny pink safety pin. Flowers in colours to match the paper and some assorted brads were added to the bottom half of the card and 'ROSIE' to the top half.The name was on dimensionals. Happy birthday was added into the aperture (this is on the cart) and the whole card was glittered to finish. With this car as with any other rounded card you need to take the timiest sliver off the bottom to make it stand properly.

Happy Birthday Mum!

It was my Mum's birthday last Saturday so I made her this card. I posted it on Thursday (in good time I thought!) and she hadn't received it by Saturday..nor Monday...Tuesday... You get the picture! Then she phoned me Thursday to say that Dad had picked it up from the PO and had to pay 14p extra postage.Bloody cheek! I put a LARGE stamp on it!! Anywho, I stepped out of my comfort zone with this card and indulged in some stamping. I stamped the calender onto white card(that was my 1st attempt,didn't like it-too much of a contrast to the vintage look-ditched it!)I re-stamped onto beige paper and it looked right! I added some flowers lovely satin scalloped ribbon some brads and a Cricut generated sentiment-et Voila!

Frosty the snowman.....

Here's a jolly little card for you! Very simple but cute. I cut the snowman twice- once in glitter card and once in brown cardstock ,cutting the arms off the glittery one. I layered them up and added black buttons & eyes punched with my Cropodile from black cardstock, an orange 'carrot' nose and a sliver of black card for his mouth. I then placed him on a panel made with strips of paper from Provocraft and a silver knotted ribbon. I left the background white & added punched snowflakes. 'Frosty' is on dimensionals and has been glittered & 'the snowman' is flat on the card.

In Love

When I made this card I got to the scalloped panel then hadn't a clue what to put on it-so I put it to on side and had a think! Then I remembered that I had a HOTP book of quotes and I found the perfect one! The beautiful paper is from a 7 x5 pad I bought from A.C.Moore's. I layered everything up and then just added a layered flower and some ribbon and pearl brads. Rub-on letters and a cricut sentiment complete the card. I think this colour combination is really classy( it's actually cream & black not white & black)What do you think?

For Your Eyes Only.....

I made this card at the weekend for my brother's birthday which is today... Happy Birthday Andrew!! It is,again, quite simple in design. The Secret Agent image was cut from a pattern which was a freebie with Papercraft Inspirations (I think!) I enlarged the pattern and cut it by hand from black card. I then cut the file folder and sentiments and layered them onto some classy grey and black herringbone paper which was in a pad that I bought from A.C.Moore's during my recent rip to the States. The file was cut from tan paper. I added a few little sheets of paper as I thought the file looked a little bare. I then added 'Top Secret', shhhhhh and Classified to fill in the spaces. Three red brads finish it off.

Hold the 'phone!!!!

Another very simple card from the Wild Card cart. I cut the base card from white card then started another in pink and stopped the machine just as it was about to cut the sides of the card. I inked the edges of the pink piece for definition and along the small cut lines just below the dial and above the handset. I covered the inside back of the card with Pink Petticoat paper and added a large Papermania brad to the centre of the dial (there is a hole in the centre of the card which I covered up on the inside with a punched circle of white card) I added the curly 'phone cord and the lettering, which is on the cart by the way! The inside of the card reads- Have a great day!!
This card can be made for any occasion just by changing the colour of the 'phone and the sentiment. I think Lady Penelope from Thunderbirds would own a 'phone like this!!!
