Happy Dad's Day.....

Hope you all celebrated your Dad yesterday and told him how much you love him! Sadly, my Dad is no longer with us, he died almost a year ago, so I couldn't make him a card, but I can still make one for my boys to give to their Dad. I've been making a lot of shaped easel cards just lately, mainly thanks to the Sports Mania cart which I've made ball game based cards with, and I kept with the circular style for this one. I cut the card base plus an extra circle, then folded one half of the top back on itself, then adhered the top half of the separate circle to it. I covered both parts of the card with some very old Dovecraft paper, and added a brown off-set circle topped with a blue embossed circle. I cut the collar & tie three times, twice in card and again in striped paper. I cut the collar portion from one of the cuts, adhered the full paper collar and tie to the full card one, and then adhered the other collar with foam pads. I added a jewelled brad as a tie pin, then adhered it to the blue circle with foam pads.
I cut 'Happy', 'Dad' and 'Dad's Day' from blue card shadowed with brown, and '#1' from pale blue card shadowed with brown. These were then adhered to the card with foam pads. 'Happy Dad's Day' forms the 'stop' for the top of the card.
Carts used:

Circle for front of card-Winter Woodland
Collar, tie & 'Dad's Day'- Designer's Calendar
