I have another large commission card for you today. I was asked to make an A4 card for one of my hubby's colleagues who is retiring. Now, the Bernie in question is a lady, but for the life of me I couldn't make this card feminine. Flowers and bows wouldn't have gone with the nautical feel so I could only add a knot using metallic cord to try to feminise it. I am assured that my cutomer loved it, and that's all that matters.
I had no nautical paper so I downloaded a sheet, blue with little white sailboats, from www.printableheaven.co.uk (formerly Madaboutcards). I matted it onto mid blue and navy blue cardstock, then added a white panel, similarly matted, to the centre of the card. I added a lifebouy and ships wheel cut from textured cardstock, and anchors and a compass cut from silver mirri. The sentiment was cut from blue cardstock and the name from blue glittercard. The knot was made from metallic cord using a tutorial from the web.
Carts used:
Sentiment and name- Stamped
Anchors/Ships wheel- Going Places
Compass- Wall Decor & More
Lifebouy- Life's a Beach
Thanks for dropping by!
