Baby Keepsake Shadow Box.....
Here's another shadow box for you. I really love the way this one turned out. I think the colours are gorgeous, and it has a vintage look about it. This box is larger than the monogrammed box- I made this one on my Expression as large as I could get it on a 12 x 12 mat, but it could still be made on the original bug. The frame was cut as a solid shape, then an aperture was cut in the centre with a metal ruler & craft knife. This box measures 9 1/2" x 7" (inc. frame). I used papers from the DCWV Linen Closet papers, lining the inside with turqouise stripes and a lovely beige/turqouise floral design for the frame. I cut the vintage pram from white textured cardstock & silver mirri. I enhanced it with a dressmakers wheel, some pearls and glitter then adhered it with foam pads to a scalloped oval. This was decorated with blown roses. 'Baby' was cut from silver mirri and adhered with foam pads below the pram.
Carts used:
Box- Tags, Bags, Boxes & More
Scalloped frame-Celebrations ('5' key with Blackout enabled)
Scalloped oval-A Child's Year
Plain Oval-George
Pram & 'Baby'-Heritage (there are quite a few different prams on other carts- Mother's Day has a Silver Cross style pram which would look just as lovely!)
Thanks for dropping by!
