Boo!!!

Here's another Halloween card, this time suitable for a boy. I used the same papers as for the Flying Tonight card a couple of posts ago, but added a tombstone which was cuttlebugged to give it a stone texture then distresses & doodled, a ghost with googly eyes and a rather menacing looking spider! I also added a few bats, some black candy dots & 'Boo!' complete with googly eyes.

Dash Away All!!

I found this lurvley paper in a box in the garage with all my old Christmas paper in it,there wasn't much left, just enough to put this little number together. I used contrasting polka dot paper from DCWV for the back of the card (it matched pretty well!). I cut a deer tag from green glitter card and matted it onto embossed mirri card. This was adhered with foam pads onto a white panel on the front of the card. I added sheer ribbon & bow, a Prima Poinsetta with glittered rose centre, leaves and a sentiment inside. I blinged up the tag too.

Tag- Winter Woodland

Pretty Prams

Here's a couple of baby cards for you today. I used a gatefold card and papers from Provocraft. I cut a scalloped frame and added an embossed panel with paper strip & ribbon trim. I cut the pram from glittercard and silver mirri and added glittered brads to the centre of the wheels. The pram was adhered to the panel with foam pads. Flying tonight!

I don't DO Halloween especially cards but I loved both this icon & paper so I succumbed! The paper is double sided & I used 2 different sheets of paper. I cut the witch (there are 2 on the cart) from black glittercard & mounted her onto a Cuttlebugged orange circle which in turn was mounted onto a black scalloped circle. I added printed ribbon & a layered flower above it.I adhered a strip of punched paper from the reverse of one of the main sheets, shadowed it with orange cardstock & added some black ric-rac braid to the bottom of the card. I cut a bat from glittercard, added googly eyes & hung it from the bottom of the small card with clear thread. I punched a hole first with a small hole punch. I decorated the inside with more bats & an appropriate sentiment. Whenever I hear this phrase I think of Kenneth Williams in 'Carry On Screaming!' shouting 'frying tonight!' What a hoot!

Skater Girl

This skater icon was soooo pretty that I just had to use it! I cut her from the most gorgeous glitterpaper- it has loads of colours in it but looks silver. When the light catches it it's like Blackpool Illuminations! I cut her from the silver/multi glitter paper & backed her with swirl embossed pink mirri card. I added a silver bow & pink Prima poinsetta with a glittered rosebud centre. I added some bling and silver candy dots. I decorated the inside with some paper strips & punched snowflakes.

Frosty Kisses

Isn't this little chap cute?! He's the nicest looking snowmen yet on ANY of the Cricut carts. Some of them are downright horrible ! I used the 'card within a card' format again and papers from last years DCWV Christmas stack (poinsettas) and Papermania. I cut the little chap as a tag from icy blue glitter card and again as just the snowman from white glitter card. I cut his accessories from red & cream glittercard. I cut the shadow from blue mirri & embossed it with a Fiskars snowflakes texture plate. I layered it up with foam pads and added a printed Prima flower and swirly blue ribbon. I added red gems to the tag. I cut out Frosty Kisses from blue mirri ,embossed it and adhered it inside the card.

Baby Gatefold

Thought I'd try a different fold for a card (and a different occasion!) and decided to try a gate fold. This is A5 size and folded from A4 with a scoring board. I used papers with baby related words for the outside & paper with faint images on them (from The Works) on the inside. I covered both fronts with the script paper and the back with the other paper, both matted onto the relevant coloured cardstock. I cut a 6 1/2" scalloped frame and a smaller panel to fit inside it. I embossed this panel and adhered a small strip of punched paper to the bottom of it. I added ribbon, a bow & pearls. I cut a scalloped oval with the word 'BABY' cut out of it from glitter card. I backed this with a scrap of the same paper as the inside back. I added a layered flower and some leaves and a rattle button which I enhanced by colouring the spots on it with a permanent marker and adding some glitter glue. I finished it with some pearls and then adhered it with foam tape to the front panel. The finished panel was then adhered to the front of the card with DST. I cut 'welcome baby' from glittercard with a plain cardstock shadow and adhered it to the inside back of the card.
