Eastern Mum....
I'm not a big fan of anything oriental, and I don't go out of my way to buy oriental inspired stuff, but this paper, even though it has an oriental feel about it, appealed to me.. I bought it yonks ago and thought it was about time I used it. There are some lovely pots on the Serenade cart and I thought it would look great with a cherry blossom branch in it. I made an easel card and matted the 2 different papers onto gold mirri. I made a double punched border for the stop. I cut the vase from gold mirri with a copper base which shows through the swirl on the top gold vase. I cut 2 branches from copper mirri and added some tiny flowers punched from cream glitter card. I added a brown gem to the centre of each of the flowers. The completed vase was mounted onto an embossed gold 'slub' effect card trimmed with a punched paper strip.I added 3 more punched flowers around the base of the vase and some more brown gems. The panel was adhered to the card with foam pads over a russet coloured ribbon and bow. Ribbon was adhered to the stop along with a gold swirl and a sentiment panel.
I added a plain white oval shadowed with gold above the stop in which to write a message. The card was finished with sentiment cut from copper and gold mirri and 'Mum' was added to the sentiment panel on the stop.

Call me #2...
Here's another version of yesterday's card..a standard C5. I used the same paper stack as the previous card, matting a large piece for the main panel and adding a strip of green dot paper to a double punched border strip. I added ribbon to this piece and adhered it to the left of the panel slightly in from the left edge. I cut a scalloped circle and a dotty circle to which I adhered a phone made in the same way as yesterday's. I added 2 small panels with the sentiment on, raised on foam pads. I made another panel & sentiment circle for the inside of the card. The card was finished with roses and pink pearls.

Call me!....
How delish is this phone?!!!! In the booklet it's quite masculine looking and quite plain so I decided to pretty it up a bit. I cut the phone twicw- once in mirri and again in glittered paper. I cut the appropriate pieces from the paper phone & adhered it onto the mirri base. I added some detail with a dressmaker's wheel and a large green pearl to the centre of the dial. I adhered the phone to a frame cut from pink card and patterned paper. I made an easel card (I can't make enough of these!) and used papers from Deena's Penny Lane and green cardstock. I punched both edges of cardstock strips (this takes patience!) to make the stop and the trim for the top panel. I added ribbon and layered flowers, some pearls & loads of glitter glue to finish,

Fly#2
Here's another version of the butterfly 'fly' card that I posted yesterday. I've seen cards similar to this but just thought that I'd have a go 'cos I really like the butterfly cut. The layout is simple- just a matted white panel of embossed cardstock (Doodlebug I think) with a punched border top & bottom trimmed with a sliver of patterned cardstock. I then cut the butterflies from 5 different papers from the Deena's Penny Lane stack. I arranged them in rows leaving a blank space- the space could be anywhere in the arrangement- and adhered them with glue leaving the wings free. I cut 'Fly' from pink glittercard and adhered it flat. I made a similar mat for the inside & cut the sentiment from plain pink card.

Fly...Live the dream
I think that this card would be ideal to give to a graduate, someone off on gap-year travels or even for a fab new job! I used paper from Deena's Penny Lane from MME (54 glittered sheets-£12.99 from The Range, Southampton..it's not in Gosport's Range yet) I used 3 designs and used aqua card for matting. The layout is simple, just 3 panels. I cut the butterfly from pink glittered paper for the underneath wings and aqua glittercard for the top wings. I added clear gems to the body and wing tips of the butterfly. I cut 'Fly' from pink glittercard and adhered it flat to the space beneath the butterfly. I finished the card with a layered flower and some opaque gems. I decorated the inside of the card with a panel and sentiment cut from pink glittercard.

Key To My Heart.....
The patterns on this card are pretty busy but I think that it works ok! The papers are from Papermania Capsule Collections. I used 3 different patterns and I edged one of them with a border punch. I embossed the white panel and wrapped a piece of sheer ribbon around it. I cut the heart from script paper and added a key cut from silver mirri. I adhered a ribbon bow and a large rose to the top of the key. Key To My Heart was cut from red glittercard with a white glittercard shadow. The sentiment was adhered with foam pads. I finished the white panel with 3 red gems. I decorated the inside with another patterned panel and a sentiment cut, again, from red & white glittercard with the addition of some punched hearts.

Pour vous, mon amour.....
No, I haven't gone all frenchified- that's the sentiment on this card made with my latest aquisition! I used a square card and Papermania paper. I used lots of squares on this card for matting. I embossed the large white square in the middle of the card with a script embossing folder. I cut out the hand using flesh coloured cardstock, pink paper and white textured card for the envelope. I added some detail with a dressmaker's wheel, and a heart punched from glittercard. I also a ring made with a sliver of gold mirri. I embossed a 2nd smaller square and adhered the 'pour vous' sentiment (cut from glittercard) along with a satin bow, large rose from Wild Orchid Crafts and another punched heart. I cut 2 more envelopes for the inside cut at different sizes, hand shadowed them and added more punched hearts. I cut the sentiment from pink glittercard and adhered it at an angle across the envelopes.

You make my heart sing....
Here's another little bird in a gilded cage! The cage is different from my last birdy card (there are 3 to choose from on the cart), but I used the same papers with the addition of a splash of green. I used a border punch on the striped paper. I cut the cage from silver mirri, the bird from yellow glitter card and the sentiment from pink glittercard. I added some sheer ribbon, a layered flower and some gems to finish. I added a panel inside the card with Love You on it.

Shop 'til you drop.....
I just lurv these shoes! You can make so many different styles by changing papers or by embossing which I have done here. I cut the shoes from pink & blue mirri card, then embossed the pink uppers with a crocodile skin effect embossing folder. I added a tiny punched flower and gem ...Jimmy Choo eat your heart out! I used paper from yonks ago by Dovecraft, covering the front of the card, then added an embossed panel on a blue mat. I edged the blue mat with an MS punch. I added ribbon and a handbag charm then adhered the panel to the card front with foam tape. I cut a smaller mat onto which I adhered the shoes. I added a layered flower, some gems and the 'shop til you drop' sentiment cut from glittercard. I made another mat for inside the card and added the 'it's you day' sentiment which I glittered with glitterglue.

U R so tweet!.....
The Swarm went great yesterday... and boy! you should have seen the cards that the ladies made yesterday! They were stunning! I wish that I had taken photos to show you. They were all worth showing. Next time I'll be sure to take photos and share their creations with you.
This is a card that I made as an example for the ladies using my new Serenade cart. I don't know what you call this type of card..I'm going to call it a slider, 'cos that's what it does- the large panel slides inside the stand. I used papers from papermania Honey & Hugs collection. I made the base boxy part of the card from sturdy card, scored it, cut out a slot for the slider, then folded and adhered it. The slider needs to be put into the slot before final construction, although the panel and box can be decorated before construction. I cut all the panels, matted onto pink cardstock then adhered to the box base. I did the same with the large panel, and added a birdcage cut from silver mirri with a little yellow bird inside. I added some punched flowers, and a bow and flower to the top of the cage. I cut the sentiment from yellow glitter card shadowed with pink, then adhered ' U R' to the main panel and 'so tweet!' to the edge of the front panel adhering only the bottom half of the letters. I finished the flowers with blue gems.

Caley....
This card's a biggun! It's A4 in size and it was a commission for one of my husband's secretaries to give to her daughter on her 21st birthday. I used paper from DCWV Citrus stack and the layout was very simple. I cut the figure from black card and paper from the stack. I added a belt, a necklace made from fine silver cord and a gem and a gemstone bracelet and earrings. The figure was adhered with foam pads. I cut 'Caley' and '21' from blue glitter card and adhered them to the yellow panel (the '21' is on foam pads) I added a layered flower and a handdrawn gemstone swirl.

You are so special......
I made this card from scraps left over from a commission I did this week. I matted and layered the paper in a very simple format and placed an embossed rectangle at the centre of the card. I added a scrap of paper to the bottom of the embossed panel and added a rose embellished ribbon & bow. I cut the heart border twice, removing the solid hearts from one piece. These were glittered then applied to the solid hearts on the complete border. It was then adhered to the left of the panel. I cut the sentiment and adhered it flat to the panel. I decorated the inside of the card with a panel edged with a MS border punch and adhered the sentiment and punched hearts. I finished the card with some glitter glue on the sentiments and remainder of the hearts and some gems below the sentiment panel.

So Gorgeous....
Here's a card that would be great for a special friend or girlfriend. I used a square card and paper from DCWV Citrus stack. I made panels from 4 different papers, the narrowest I edged with a Fiskars punch. I cut the perfume bottle from silver mirri and aqua glitter card then layered the pieces up. I added some peel offs (whaat!!) for added decoration. I cut an 'ooh la la' tag from mirri & glittercard and attached it to a ribbon bow with a small jump ring. I added a layered flower with a jewelled brad, some ribbon and orange gems. I cut the sentiment from glittercard with a silver mirri shadow and adhered it with foam pads above the perfume bottle. I made a sentiment panel from scraps of paper and adhered a glittercard sentiment to it.

Funky Birthday...
Our friend's son, Rubin, is 20 on Thursday and this is the card that I made for him. I used papers from Dovecraft called Funky Vintage..they are great for teens & just out of teens! Before I decorated the card I cut a star from the front of it using the Centrepoint function. I then adhered the paper to the front of the card and trimmed away the paper behind the star to create an aperture. I cut a ring from red mirri cardstock (this was a bargain..10 sheets (10 colours) of larger than A4 card for.... wait for it!... 99p!!! from the kiddies craft dept at The Range) This mirri has a slight grain to it...but you need to peer veeery close to see it! Still, at that price who the heck cares! I also got Gold & Silver (15 sheets) for 99p also! Anyway back to the card. I adhered the ring over the star aperture and cut away the piece going across the star. I cut Happy Birthday from green mirri with a black shadow and adhered it on a slant across the ring. In the spaces remaining to the left and right of the aperture I added Rubin's name with letter stickers. I cut another star (slightly larger than the aperture) from red mirri, embossed it and adhered it behind the aperture on the back of the card. I cut out a '2o' and adhered it with foam pads to the star. I cut It's your day from black mirri and glued it above the star to finish.

Sunny Delight!!!!.....
You'll need your sunnies for this one folks! I don't think that I could have chosen a brighter palette than this.. I wasn't sure that it would work, but it did and I'm very happy with it! I used paper from DCWV Citrus stack ( I used 3 different papers) and used a very simple layout. The large orange panel is adhered with foam pads. I decorated it with a punched paper panel, ribbon, gemstone swirl ( I coloured gold gemstones with an orange permanant marker) and a butterfly cut from pale orange glitter card. The sentiment was cut from the same glittercard and shadowed with yellow cardstock. The front of the card was finished with gold gemstones & layered flowers. I decorated the inside with a sentiment and punched borders top & bottom.

Prettily packaged decorated candle...
I haven't got a card for you today but I do have something that would make a great gift. I picked up a few pillar candles from Asda on Friday (£1 each) and decorated it it to match the acetate cylinder that I made to put it in. The cylinder base & top were made from 2 circles and one strip of card (for each) and a punched strip of paper. A 12 x 5 piece of heavyweight acetate was joined at the short edges with red line extra sticky tape, then adhered inside one of the card circles. I decorated the top with a scalloped circle, plain circle and a layered hydrangea with a pearl brad. I decorated the candle with a sentiment on a scalloped oval, some glittery flowers punched from glitter card and another hydrangea flower attached to a ribbon bow. All the embellishments were attached to the candle with dressmakers pins & beads. The candle is not intended to be used, it is purely decorative, but if it was to be used then all the embellishments MUST be removed before lighting the candle. I wouldn't want to light it though, would you?!

Happy Mother's Day.....
I was really pleased how this card turned out! Isn't it pretty? (if I do say so myself!) I used Papermania papers and a paper doiley I found in my cake making cupboard (I can't remember when I last made a cake!) The layout is very simple using 3 designs of paper. I edged the rose patterned paper on the centre panel with a MS punch and adhered a piece of satin ribbon before I fixed the panel to the card (the doiley was slipped underneath the punched border) and a scalloped circle topped with a sentiment circle was adhered to it with foam pads. The sentiment was cut from pink glitter card. I finished the front of the card with some large pink pearls, a ribbon bow and a large pink-tinged rose from Wild Orchid Crafts. I decorated the inside of the card with a sentiment cut from glittercard and a punched border of rose-patterned paper.

Love Heart...
This card was so simple to make..no designer paper in sight and mimimal matting & layering. I cut the word heart from mirri card then adhered it with foam pads to a white panel matted onto red card. I added a punched border with heart ribbon trim. I made a bow, threaded a rose through it then curled the stem with a cocktail stick. I cut 'Valentine' from red mirri and adhered it with foam pads below the border. The top and bottom curves of the heart were accented with red gems. I punched another border for the inside along with some tiny red hearts and a sentiment cut from mirri.

Mama....
Here's the card that I promised you yesterday..I hope that you think that it is as pretty as I do! Isn't that the most gorgeous pram?!!! Who has a pram like that these days?! My Mum had a Silver Cross pram for 3 of us (she wore out 4 sets of tyres on it!!) very similar to this one, she sold it, then fell pregnant with my youngest brother! Bummer! (not my brother!..selling the pram! Love you Nick!)
Anyway back to the card.. I cut the pram from silver mirri & pink Bazzil. I cut off the wheels and handle from the pink pram then adhered it to the silver pram. I added detail with a dressmakers wheel, then added silver pearls to the wheels & hood. I also cut a tiny oval and added a gem heart to it to finish off the pram. The papers I used are from Papermania. I cut a square doiley as a mount for the scalloped oval onto which I adhered the pram. Before fixing the panel to the card I threaded pink voile ribbon through 2 punched holes in the oval and fixed it behind the panel. The whole panel was adhered to the card with foam tape.. I cut another scalloped oval for the stop and adhered the sentiment 'Mama' to it. I finished the oval with a bow, and added flowers to the large oval holding the pram. I added pearls to the doiley and ribbons to finish.

Love.....
First of all, let me say that the colours look way out in this photo..it looks like I've mixed blue, lavender, lilac etc. It must be the light because in reality these colous are really pretty together and the main heart image is lilac not blue! As you've probably guessed I have a new cart in my collection (well 3 actually but who's counting?!) I used papers from the new Papermania capsule collections- there are 4 colours- and white and lilac pearlised cardstock for the image. I cut the main image out of lilac cardstock and it's blackout in white which I embossed with a Fiskar's texture plate in the Cuttlebug. I mounted the lilac heart onto the white one with foam pads and adhere it onto a panel of patterned paper. I added pearls, a bow, a pearl heart button (shank removed) and paper roses. I cut a scalloped oval for the stop and adhered the 'Love' cut out to it. I finished the stop with some pearls over the ribbon.
