Shoes to die for!!!

This one if for all the lovely ladies who have attended my most recent workshops at JDI. We made simple shoe toppers (amongst others!) and so I thought I'd show them all what could be done with them!
The shoes were cut from fabulous glitter paper which is the only one that I would recommend for Cricut owners. This stuff doesn't shed glitter like the standard glittercard does so subsequently it won't jigger up your mat or blades! this is the most incredible value paper- it costs just £2.99 for 12 A5 sheets! The glitter content is amazing and really twinkles in the light. It's just GORGEOUS!!
Recipe as follows:
Glitter sheets- Crafttime
Paper- Lola's Boudoir download from Pink Petticoat
Ribbon- from my stash
Flowers- likewise!
Crystal Brads- Papermania
Black card- Papermania
Shoe- Cricut Wedding Solutions cart
Scalloped oval & 'DIVA' cut from Cricut Storybook cart
White embossed paper- Doodlebug Designs
Happy crafting!
Heather
p.s If you get the opportunity buy the Storybook cart. I think that it the BEST cartridge so far!It has the most beautiful, intricate cuts and you won't regret it!!!

Relax!!!!

This is another card with a Pink Petticoat Lola Rose image. The image was mounted onto coloured cardstock adhered to another panel which was mounted onto cardstock and given a scalloped border with decorative scissors. This panel was adhered with foam pads to the front of a card covered with embossed paper. Ribbon, flowers gems and glitte complete the picture.

Recipe as follows:

Tent fold card

Embossed paper- Doodlebug

Patterned paper- K & Co

Coloured cardstock- Bazzill

Flowers- Prima and other

Brads- Papermania

Pearl gems- Papermania

The 'Happy 40th Anniversary' was made for my next-door neighbour to give to her parents-in-law. You won't believe how many goes I had at making this card!! No matter how I tried I just couldn't seem to get it right. So I took some time out, picked up my youngest from a fishing trip to the beach at Titchfield Haven and on the way back it just came to me!! I don't know what triggered it but I decided that I would go monochrome. I got out may favourite embossed card stock and just added the relevant colour. Bingo!! It took all of 10 minutes!AAAAGH! My neighbour loved it- I hope you like it too!! BTW I have made a 25th & 50th too. I'll post them soon
Recipe as follows:
Tent fold 5 x 7 card
Background embossed as previous card
Contrast paper- red paper from The PaperMill Shop
Gems & large Crystal Brad- Papermania
Ribbon- from my stash
Flowers-from my stash
Scalloped Oval- Cricut Storybook
White oval cut with coluzzle template
The white panel that the '40' oval sits on was edged with a Fiskars border punch then matted onto red paper leaving a border top & bottom and was then trimmed around the shaped edge by hand.
For other Anniversaries just change the colour of the background paper.

Beautiful...just like you!

I found these images ages ago on the internet and thought that they would make beautiful cards and that's what it says on the front of each of these vintage look 'Beautiful' cards. Each picture is in black and white but with the merest hint of colour which has been picked up in the backing papers.
I printed the images onto cream linen-look card and cut them out. They were then matted and layered onto 2 colours of cardstock. I then used vintage look papers and different layouts for each card finishing each one with flowers , ribbon, pearl embellies and a cricut generated sentiment.
The cards are 5 x 7" tentfolds.
Recipe as follows:
Papers- K & Co, Funky Hand Shabby Saturday,Basic Grey
Images downloaded from Google Images
Ribbon from my stash
Flowers -Prima
Self adhesive pearls- widely available from craft outlets
'Beautiful' cut from Opposites Attract (Upright) at 1"
I hope you like these cards and would love it if you gave them a go, maybe using vintage family portraits to create a family heirloom. You could mount them into a box frame and give them as a gift. Do you display your cards? If so I've got a really inexpensive idea to display cards which I will show you when it's complete.
Have fun

Bless You.....

I'm afraid to say that this card is a shameless CASE of a beautiful card from Creative Journey (sorry I can't remember the author's name!)

The card consists of an acetate circle decorated with gems and prima flowers .This is then mounted onto a base card decorated with more Summer Driggs paper. A strip of Paisley print paper has been mounted onto a strip of white card who's edge has been punched using a Fiskars border punch. This has then been adhered to a piece of paper which has been stuck to the front of a white tentfold card. Ribbon has been wrapped around the paisley strip. A cricut generated sentiment and gemstones completes the picture. The flowers and sentiments have been glittered with Stickles glitter glue (how unusual for me! NOT!!!) Very simple but stunning.

Recipe as follows:
Paper - Summer Driggs Download
Ribbon from my stash
Acetate -clear 'cardstock' from Jendenink Craftworks
Fiskars border punch
'Bless You'- Stone Script Solutions Cricut cart

Love is a vine......

Browsing through the many blogs available to see on the internet I came accross Summertime Designs by Summer Driggs. She has wonderful papers to download for FREE!!!!!!.So I downloaded almost everyone of her collections. They are lovely and include papers, some page ploppers(!!!!) and embellishments. They are,of course digital, but can easily be used by cardmakers.Have a look and see what you think!

This card was made with two of her design paper, cut into 6 by 12cms panels and adhered to a matted and layered white panel. Ribbon was wrapped around the two panels and the whole thing adhered with dimensionals onto the white panel. A cricut generated frame hold the sentiment 'Love is a vine that grows in out hearts' This was computer generated onto Safmat.

Paper flowers, and gems complete the picure! The card looks much better in real life than it does in this photo!

I love this card- I hope you like it too!

Love Birds

I really love these concertina fold cards as they give you a much bigger area to work on!
The Anniversary card was made with the Wedding Solutions cartridge and paper from DCWV Rock Star Stack, black velvet ribbon and black gemstones
Love Birds was again made with the Wedding Solutions cart. paper with little birdies on (sorry, can't remember who it's by) and black swirly voile ribbon. Although you can't see it very well the birds and heart have been glittered with black Stickles glitter. The white panel that the birds are on is embossed paper by Doodlebug

Oh,Pretty Baby!!!!

Everyone loves making baby cards, and I'm no exception! I have tons of baby cards to show you but I'll start with these two.
They are both tent-fold,the one on the left being a conventional tent-fold and the one on the right has a concertina panel added to it. The 'New Baby' card is very simple with just a panel of delightful 'Animal Crackers' paper by Making Memories,a piece if ribbon , a layered flower and a simple sentiment cut with the Stone Script Cricut cartridge. Three brads top and bottom and lots of glitter finish it off.
Although it's not very clear the second card says 'baby makes 3' This one was made with the Stretch your Imagination cartridge and paper from Nana's Nursery Boy Collection. Pola dot satin ribbon and green gems finish it off. Who says baby cards have to be pink or blue!!!
Hope you like them! Please leave a comment.
