Love cannot be seen or heard.....

I made this card for my hubby for our anniversary back in January. The backing paper is from the DCWV Once Upon A Time stack which was languishing, unused, in the shed of all places! So I thought that I may as well use it for this card. I used 'centre-point' to cut a heart in the centre of a piece of beige-grey cardstock, then embossed it with an 'Argyle' folder. I then matted the embossed panel onto a piece of gold cardstock, carefully cutting around the heart aperture leaving a small border. I stamped the sentiment onto another piece of patterned paper then adhered it behind the aperture. The completed panel was then adhered to the front of the card with foam tape. Four die-cut (X Cut) corners were added to the card along with 'Husband' cut from more gold cardstock and a stamped 'Happy Anniversary' sentiment.

Classy & Fabulous........

I don't know about you, but I LOVE black and white cards, especially when they have a pop of colour- not too much, just a smidgen. I used various patterned papers and black pearlised cardstock for this 8" square card. I cut items of a lady's wardrobe from various papers then adhered them to white, embossed squares matted onto black scalloped squares- three in all plus a sentiment square. The sentiment was computer generated. All of the elements were adhered with foam pads. I used sheer dotted ribbon, narrow polka dot ribbon, pearls and teeny WOC roses to embellish each of the squares.

To Have And To Hold......

I made this wedding card last year after seeing something similar on a blog. I used an A5 card base and some lovely burgundy print paper from my ancient stash. I matted a piece of cream pearlised cardstock onto some burgundy pearlised card who's long edges were punched with a MS heart punch. I added a piece of the patterned paper, some pretty lace and burgundy sheer ribbon to the cream panel before adhering it with foam tape to the burgundy panel. The panel was then adhered centrally to the front of the card with foam tape. I cut the delicate heart from cream pearlised cardstock and matted it onto a burgundy 'blackout'. I added a length of fine silver cord to the top of the heart, then adhered it to the card front, slightly offset, with foam pads. 'To Have And To Hold' was stamped with burgundy ink onto a die-cut label and adhered to the bottom of the panel with foam pads. A diecut branch and ferns, sheer ribbon bow, large WOC bloom and smaller burgundy carnations, a pearl heart and a liberal smattering of pearls completes the card.

On your way up!.......

I made this card, last year, as a commission for a customer who's daughter had been promoted at work. The card base is an 8x8 square and I used Pink Petticoat papers and kraft cardstock. I computer generated a dictionary definition of 'promotion' and the sentiment. The wording on the arrow was created with rub-ons. I cut the briefcase from brown leather effect paper, and the document files and the arrow from kraft cardstock. 'Lorraine' was cut from brown glittercard. All of the elements were adhered to the card with foam pads. A smattering of pearls completes the card.

Nonna.........

No 1 son's girlfriend Sofia, asked me last year to make a card for her Nonna's (grandma's) 80th birthday.
I used an 8" square card base and K&Co paper that I've had for yonks. I cut four fancy corners from white cardstock and adhered them to the corners of a piece of lavender paper. I added a panel of patterned paper with rounded corners and a punched strip of cardstock topped with lavender paper to the centre of the card. I die-cut a doily and adhered it with foam tape to the centre panel and added '80' cut from lavender cardstock and glittercard. 'NONNA' was cut from the same material and adhered to the card with foam pads. 'Happy Birthday' was stamped onto a die-cut label which was embellished with a small WOC bloom then adhered below the doily. A die-cut flourish, sheer bow, floral arrangement, pearl cabouchon and a smattering of pearls completes the card.

Blooming.....

I made this card last year for my hubby to give to a work colleague who was leaving to have a baby.
The card base is a standard A5 and the papers are from a First Edition pad. I cut the expectant mum from white card then coloured the cut-out with a darkish ProMarker (the mum is afro-Caribbean) and added a checked dress and red shoes. I adhered her with foam pads to a central panel embossed with a swiss dots embossing folder. The panel was adred to the card front with foam tape. I added 'Best Wishes' cut from black card and 'GILL' cut from pink glitter card. A large bloom (12 for £1 from The Range- bargain!!) sheer bow and trio of pearls completes the card.

Engaged!......

Rhea's big sister Menai got engaged before Christmas and is getting married in September. We were so happy for her and her lovely fella Krishan. They make such a lovely couple. Being thrilled for them both I had to send a card.
The card base is an 8" square and the papers are by First Edition. I cut a shaped panel and embossed it with a swirl embossing folder. I added a piece of self adhesive fancy ribbon across the card then adhered the shaped panel to it.
I cut the ring box from red cardstock, then ran it through a Xyron machine and chucked some red flocking powder over it, giving it the look and feel of velvet. The ring section was cut from gold mirri with a white glittercard 'diamond'. I added a punched heart to the ring box, and two floating hearts to the panel. 'Menai' & 'Krishan' were cut from red polka dot paper then adhered with foam pads to the panel.
A sheer, patterned ribbon bow, WOC bloom and a pearl in each corner of the large central panel completes the card.
