Je t'aime.......

I originally wanted to post this card around Valentine's Day, but the photo I was going to use was so bad that I had to re-take it..then I forgot about it! So it'll have to do for any romantic occasion that you can think of! Better late than never, eh?
I used a z-fold card for the base and Making Memories 'Je t'adore' papers. I punched the edges of the card before I folded it. I cut a shaped panel to hold an Eiffel tower cut from burgundy Bazzill, then embossed. The tower was then adhered to the panel, over some lovely swirl ribbon, with foam pads. 'LOVE' was added to the panel at the side of the tower. 'Je t'aime was adhered to the inside of the card in the bottom right hand corner, and each of the remaining visible corners was embellished with a flourish cut from burgundy Bazzill. A burgundy/peachy-brown floral arrangement was adhered to the shaped panel to complete the front of the card.

The inside of the card holds a shaped panel to add a greeting.

Tea For Two.......

I've another single twisted easel for you today.. I'm at it again! just can't stop makin' the dratted things!
I used some uber cute papers from Dovecraft called 'Tea House'. They are, as you would expect, tea themed! There are teapots & tea cups, cakes, and spots & stripes to compliment. I thought that this image would make a very cute card. The image is actually made up of two icons which I put together to make this little tea party scene. It was cut from aqua blue glittercard and adhered to a square panel with foam pads. I added a floral arrangement to the top of the panel. A scalloped circle holds the sentiment, also cut from glittercard.
Some ribbon, a bow and a couple of punched hearts completes the card.

Choo-choo two!......

I've a kiddies card for you today.. a little boy's card in fact. I used fab papers from the Playtime collection by 3 Bugs In A Rug and a twisted easel base card. I utilised the train on the paper, so that it looked as though it was chuggin' across the card. I added a star border with added punched stars, and I also added some more punched stars above the train's funnel. A circle cut from spotted paper and shadowed with red card holds the Happy Birthday sentiment. A large square (too large on reflection!) holds a HUGE no 2 (eh what?!)This was cut from blue glittercard shadowed with red and adhered with foam pads.I cut a train from the patterned paper and adhered with silicone glue to the bottom of the no 2. A smattering of punched stars completes the card.

All that I am.....

..or hope to be, I owe to my Mother
Another lovely quote for a Mother's Day card, again scourced frome the internet.
I used a slider base for this card along with more lovely Pink Petticoat freebie papers. I cut the pot and leaves, again, in different colours of cardstock making the image bigger this time, and added a bloom. The completed cut was adhered to a shaped panel.
I added an EK Success border along the join in the paper, because this card is 8x5 and the papers were 6x6. A scalloped oval holds the 'Mum' cut.

The sentiment was computer generated onto Safmat and adhered to the base of the card below the slider.
A couple of heart shaped pearls completes the card.

Happy Mum's Day.....

Spring has sprung (almost!) and we will be thinking of Mother's Day soon. This year is flying past and March will be upon us in the blink of an eye so it's best to be prepared! The last couple of cards that I've posted would, of course, be suitable for Mother's Day as is this one. The card base is a Z-fold and the papers are from a Pink Petticoat freebie that came with Cardmaking & Papercraft mag. I cut this fab pot and stem (I added the bloom afterwards) from various cardstocks and layered 'em up. The completed image was adhered with foam pads to an embossed, scalloped circle and the flower added with silicone glue. The scalloped circle was then adhered to the front of the card slightly overlapping the back. An EK Success border with thin ribbon added was adhered to the front and inside back of the card.
The inside of the card holds the 'Happy Mum's Day' sentiment cut from pink cardstock. The circle was cut slightly smaller to ensure that it is hidden when the card is closed. A smattering of blue pearls completes the card.

Who ran ? #2.......

Who'd have thought that a cartridge primarily for children's cards would have turned up a couple of images that are just perfect for Mother's Day? Yesterday's card had a mother and child on it, and this second image of a mother and baby is also suitable for a Mum's card. You could even use it on a adoption card or foster parents card..the possibilities are endless! This image is on a Z-fold card. I used papers from the same pack as yesterday's card and the same sentiment.I added an EK Success punched border trimmed with thin ribbon and a couple of floral arrangements. The mother & baby were cut from Gemstones cardstock and adhered to a shaped panel fixed to the front of the card with foam pads.

Who ran to help me.....

..when I fell
and did some pretty story tell
Or kissed the place to make it well
My Mother
Isn't that a lovely quote? I got it off the internet and it was just what I wanted to make a Mother's day card with.
The card base is a slider and papers are from First Edition Papers Love Letters 8x8 pad. The mother & child cut was cut from Gemstones cardstock shadowed with green cardstock and adhered to a shaped panel on the front of the slider. 'MUM' was created from 'stamp' paper from the stack. They were cut out and adhered to the border with foam pads. A floral arrangement was adhered below the cut.

The sentiment was printed onto Safmat and adhered to the base of the card below the slider.
