Double diagonal Baby......

Here's another version of the diagonal cut card that I've been featuring lately, this time using 2 cards. I just cut each card on opposite diagonals then adhered them together at the back. Effectively you have a cross-over card. Then I just decorated as usual. The papers are by Provocraft. I used the same pram as yesterday made in the same way this time with yellow pearls. I added a layered flower, ribbon & punched glittercard daisies with pearl centres.
I cut 'New Arrival' & 'Congratulations' from yellow glittercard and adhered them to the left flap and the inside back of the card.

Vintage Baby....

There are several prams to choose from in the Cricut library but this one HAS to be the best. It's absolutely gorgeous. I used another diagonal cut card for the base, and used Provocraft papers for the back & front. I cut the pram from silver mirri and twice from white textured cardstock. I cut the hood from one pram and adhered to the other one with foam pads. I added detail with a dressmaker's wheel then adhered it to the silver base pram. I added some pearls as embellishment to the hood and the side of the pram. This was then adhered to the front of the card, over the punched border with foam pads. I added a layered flower and 'Baby' cut from silver mirri to the top right hand corner of the card.

BBQ King!.......

Sorry folks! Here's another diagonal cut card (there are a few more to come..please bear with me!!) but this time it's one for the guys. With BBQ season coming up I thought that there would be a few guys that this card would suit. They don't set foot in the kitchen all year, yet come summer, a decent day, some friends and they'd have you think that Raymond Blanc was a bosom buddy!
Anyway, back to the card.. I used the Nana's Kitchen stack again for this card . I cut the letters from 3 different colours & patterns of paper and backed them with card to make them more substantial, then arranged them over the front of the card, and the border with foam pads. I cut out a crown and 'king !' from gold mirri, the crown was adhered to the 'B' and the 'king!' was adhered over the border. I added 'to the' using black letter stickers and a 'top chef' plaque cut from another sheet of paper from the stack. I cut 'Happy Birthday' from gold mirri & adhered it to the top right of the card with foam pads. There is another plaque on the inside of the card that says 'Tuck in!' but I've not shown it.
Carts used:
BBQ & 'king!'- Base Camp (shadow enabled to give a chunkier letter)

Sweet 16!.....

Hope you all had a happy Easter and are having a good Bank Holiday here in UK.
Here's another card using a diagonal cut card. I used a MS punch to decorate the edge of the card and the border going across it. I used papers from Nana's Kitchen by DCWV. I cut the '16' from pink check paper and shadowed it with the same green paper that is on the inside of the card. The numbers were adhered to the card with foam pads. I added a layered flower and ribbon to the border. I cut 'sweet' and it's shadow from glittercard and punched 3 daisies and adhered them with silicone glue. 'Sweet' was adhered with foam pads. I added gems to the centre of the daisies and to the numbers.

Go, go, go Dad!......

How come that you have all the time in the world to make cards for no-one in particular, but when it comes to family it's pullyourfingeroutfastgal.com!? I always do it..and then it's a mad rush to make something half-way decent, but saying that I don't think that this card turned out too bad! I made this for the kids to give their Dad for his birthday last week. I had a heck of a job matching up papers but I think I got away with it!. I cut the card front on a diagonal and covered with acid green check paper. I used paper from a DCWV Kids stack for the inside. I cut a set of flags from black & white card, a set of traffic lights to which I added different coloured shimmer paper and the word 'GO!' on the green light, and some checked letters for the 'DAD' sentiment. For the inside I cut a 'GO' sign from silver & black mirri and ahered it to the top right of the card with foam pads. I added a strip of the checked paper and using black letter stickers (shock!horror!!!) added the inside sentiment.
Carts used:
Go sign & traffic lights- Going Places
Flags- Disney's Cars
DAD- Opposites Attract (opposite enabled)
Thanks for dropping in, and have a great Easter!

80th Birthday wishes.....

This card was a commission that I did for a lady who couldn't find a card that she liked for her Mum's 80th Birthday. She gave me carte blanche really with this one so I went for a slightly vintagy feel. I used papermania papers from a couple of different packs and a different take on yesterday's card using two cards adhered together and cut on the diagonals. I used a MS punch for the front and the border strip then added lovely rose-print ribbon a layered Prima flower and some goldy coloured pearls as decoration. I cut '80' & 'MUM' from copper coloured mirri which I then ran through the cuttlebug (always emboss AFTER cutting) and mounted the '80' onto a scalloped oval. I added 'Birthday wishes' on the first flap and 'With Love' on the back panel. I hope she likes it!

Scalloped Oval- Storybook
80 & Birthday Wishes- Lyrical Letters
MUM- Winter Woodland
With Love- Sentimentals

Mr & Mrs.....

I've been making tons of cards with this layout and I'm going to be boring you with them over the next few days! Now you'll just have to trust me on this one...this is a wedding card made in probably the most unlikely colour EVAH! Yes folks- it's bright lime green!- but believe me in real life it's stunning (blowing my own trumpet here!) and unbelievably delicate. This style of card is so easy. I just cut off the front on the diagonal but leaving about 2 1/2 to 3" on the right hand edge. I punched the cut edge with an MS punch then covered inside & out with DCWV glitter paper. I added a border, punched again with the MS punch, sheer ribbon & bow, a beautiful Frangipani flower from Calico Crafts with a rose at it's centre and some pearly fronds. I added pearl hearts and a glittercard sentiment. Nothing else is needed. I made another one of these for a wedding in Scotland at the end of the month and I shall replace the 'Mr & Mrs' with the bride & groom's name.
