For Mum at Christmastime...

This is the card that I made for my Mum for Christmas. I used the same image as that on a previous post, treated exactly the same way with Glamour Dust. The holly background paper was free with Creative Cardmaking a couple of months ago. I mounted the picture onto a scalloped panel and added gold ribbon & a poinsetta to the front of the card. I cut a smaller scalloped panel and added a sentiment to a piece of white textured card with peel offs and a Cricut generated sentiment. To finish the front of the card I addded red Stickles to the berries in the child's hair and some red gems to the ribbon. I have to add that the little girl is the spitting image of my great-niece Chelsea! Hope you are all ready for the great day....only 3 more days to go!!!!
Thanks for stopping by today!

Warm Winter Wishes..

Hope you are all well...I've got a flippin' cold but heyho! I made this card ages ago but left the white panel blank until I got the Winter Woodland cart because I knew that there would be something on it that would look great in the space.... so here it is!
I used DCWV (I think!) papers which were matted onto pink card and I embossed the white panel with a Fiskars Texture Plate. I added a large blue & white poinsetta with a pink paper rose in the centre. I cut the sentiment from blue glitter card and then added gems in a swirly pattern.. you can buy these swirls (and very lovely they are too!) from Prima, but with a pot of pva, some precision tweezers,
Papermania rhinestone wheel, good eyesight(???!!) and a steady hand you can produce your own for a fraction of the cost.
Carts used:
Sentiment- Winter Woodland
Leaves- Stretch Your Imagination ( you could use StoryBook)

Mass production!

First off...sorry about the photo! I wanted some cards that I could send to the neighbours or keep in reserve for those forgotten few! So I came up with these. They consist of an embossed panel (Cuttlebug Christmas countdown- 7x5") coloured cardstock for a mat, scrap of patterned paper, ribbon, a poinsetta and a sentiment cut from glitter card/paper. These were so quick to put together, and I added a sentiment inside that was computer generated onto Safmat.
I'll be making more like this next year I think!

60th Birthday

We went to a birthday party on Saturaday evening. Our hostess Vicky will be sixty just before Christmas and I made this card for her from hubby & myself, my boss Jennie and her family and some other good friends and customers from the shop (Vicky is also a customer and friend) therefore this card is BIG! It's A4 in size and is big enough for mass signing.
I used Clare Curd papers in black & red (the colour theme for her party) and some glitter card for the '60' I cut out a scalloped frame & matted & layered patterned paper onto it. I added a bow, horizontal panel edged with a Martha Stewart punch and some black & red flowers.
Carts used:
'60'- Winter Woodland
Scalloped frame- A Child's Year

A birthday train for Bryn..

It was our next door neighbour's youngest son's birthday on Tuesday and this is the card that I made for him. I used papers from the DCWV Kids stack. I matted and layered striped and patterned papers with blue card. Then I embossed a piece of the blue card with an embossing folder. I added a strip of the striped paper to the bottom of the embossed piece and added four candy dots which I glittered. I cut the train from black and coloured cardstock and pieced it together using a different colour for each truck. I cut some strips of card with scalloped scissors and added a piece to the top of each truck. The wheels were enhanced with brads and a number 3 added to the train engine. I hand cut the smoke clouds from glittercard and cut each letter of the name from a different coloured glitter card. The trucks of the train were joined with a piece of fine silver cord adhered to the back and the whole train was adhered to the blue panel with foam pads, as were the letters. The inside of the card was decorated with a strip of the patterned paper and 'Happy Birthday' cut from blue cardstock.
Carts used:
Train- New Arrival
BRYN- Lyrical Letters (jumbo font)
Happy Birthday (inside but not shown)- A Child's Year

O Holy Night

Sorry folks!Another easel card for you. I did warn you! As you can see I used just 2 colours of cardstock-red card & gold mirri. I cut the nativity scene from gold card and a shadow in red which I embossed with a starts embossing folder. I matted & layered red & gold cardstock, added some red shimmery ribbon, peel-offs(!!!!!) a punched border & gold stars. I cut the stop & mounted the 'O' onto it then adhered the 'Holy Night' below it above the gold border. One of the ladies at the Swarm made one of these and it was beautiful.
Carts used:
Nativity- When It's Cold Outside (special edition cart)
'O Holy Night' & scalloped circle- Winter Woodland

First Swarm project.

We held our first Swarm last Saturday and it was a great success..thanks to all the ladies who came and extra special thanks to Jennie (The Boss!) who stayed and helped. We will definately be doing it again! This is the project that each of the ladies were given to either make at the Swarm or take home. It's a little wall hanging (although one lady decided to put hers on the front of a card (nice one Angie!) I'm all for people taking an idea and running with it...if it turns out very different to the original..great!!! I used just 2 carts for this one. I cut the larger shape in white card and gold card which were adhered together (the white card adds stability) then cut the same shape 1/2" smaller in patterned paper and adhered it to the gold card. The sleigh was cut from gold then red card (the runners were cut from the red portion), and the decorative swirl was the shift section of the sleigh. They were adhered together then a gold bow & poinsetta added. The 'Season's Greetings' was cut from red card with a gold shadow then adhered above the sleigh. Two holes were punched in the top of the shape with a Cropodile then gold cord was threaded through from the front & knotted at the back. For any of the ladies who for one reason or another couldn't attend the Swarm there are some packs still available at Jendenink to buy.
Carts used:
Lozenge shape- Accent Essentials
Sleigh & sentiment- Christmas (Noel) Solutions
Thanks for looking...and thanks again to all the ladies who attended- you made it a great day!!!
