Laura

Yet ANOTHER last minute card for my eldest to give to a classmate! Party at 12pm-'Mum, I need a card for Laura!' so I got to it! I swear to God that I make some of my best cards when I'm on a deadline! This one was such a simple layout that apart from the little character it took about 10 mins to put together. I used paper from DCWV Sweet stack and the character was from a pack of 6x6 papers from Dovecraft from The Range. I chose a character, cut her out roughly & adhered her to a piece of card. I then cut her out leaving a narrow white border all round. I adhered her to an oval mounted onto a scalloped oval and added some lilac bling. A folded layered bloom with gemstone centre was slipped beneath the oval. A strip of sparkly pink paper matted onto a scalloped border was adhered with foam tape and the name Laura was added with smaller foam pads. A little more bling and glitter added to the flower complete the card.

My Hero!

Here's another card made with the Boy stack from DCWV,this time in bold blue & yellow- SUPER colours for a SUPER hero! I used the same layout as yesterday's card and added a huge star and a cutout of a SuperHero. I added some star brads (I cut the 'legs' off and stick them down with silicone glue)red ribbon and glittery sentiments. The super hero was on another piece of the paper so I cut him out & raised him up on foam pads.
Carts used:
Star & shadow- George
Sentiments- Don Juan (Under Pressure feature)

Zoom!!!

Here's a card that's a little bit out of this world!!! I got these DCWV Boy papers which have fabbo designs ranging from robots to superheroes. I thought that this spacemen themed paper would go great with this little space ship. I cut the spaceship from mirri card which has an 'oil on water' effect, and again in cardstock then pieced them together. I cut out the centre of the dome and added a piece of glittered acetate behind it. I then ran around all the edges with a dressmaker's wheel to give a look of rivets. I cut out the ring and added a solid green one behind it and added star brads and a little piece of paper with a friendly alien on it! Two panels matted on the same mirri card, some silver metallic ribbon, star brads and the word 'ZOOM!' cut from gold mirri and pierced with a paper piercer complete the card!

Beach Babe!

I bought this beautiful frangipane flower along with many others from Calico Crafts. They come in many summery colours and are great on a more exotic card. I thought that it would suit a beach/summer themed card, and I have had this paper for while so I decided to put them all together & this is the result! I used 2 designs of paper & layered them as you can see. I cut a scalloped circle frame from spotted paper & added a small ring of the word paper around the aperture. I decorated the frame with the frangipane flower & a beach ball cut from the patterned paper. Some spotty ribbon & a spotty fabric brad adorn the flower. I cut the Beach Babe sentiment, stuck it into the aperture & glittered it.
Carts used:
Scalloped circle frame- Wild Card
Patterned ring around aperture- George (silhouette feature enabled)
Sentiments- Lyrical Letters
Hope you are having a great day enjoying the glorious sunshine today, and thanks for stopping by!

I Miss You

Firstly-sorry about the awful photie for the inside of this card! This card is very simple. Just 2 panels of contrasting paper matted & layered ,then adhered to the front of the card. Ribbon is adhered across both panels. A layered flower with a Laura Ashley fabric brad in the centre, and some bling adorn the ribbons. A simple panel of cream cardstock holds the sentiment.

Add another candle!

This green paper is soooo pretty with little pink parcels on it and I couldn't resist using it! I also used some pink grid paper with little coloured dots as a contrast. I cut out a frame, glittered it and blinged it up. I added scrumptious bright green polka dot ribbon, a polka dot layered flower and this gorg cake complete with candles! Deep breath-now blow!!!!

Tickle my fancy!

Woah there Neddy!!! Don't you just love the phrase 'tickle my fancy' ? It's open to so much interpretation doncha think??!!! I've had these feathers for a while & decided to use them on a card with this naughty little sentiment on! I covered the front of a card with pink patterned paper & added a panel of another design. I cut out the fillagree heart and another heart from script paper. I added the fillagree heart to the solid heart with slivers of foam pads. I added a feather, a paper rose & ribbon bow. That lace across the bottom & top of the panel is self adhesive by Siesta Craft (200cms of 4 different designs- 800cms in total!) I cut out the sentiment in plain pink card & dk.pink glitter paper.
