Beautiful...just like you!

I found these images ages ago on the internet and thought that they would make beautiful cards and that's what it says on the front of each of these vintage look 'Beautiful' cards. Each picture is in black and white but with the merest hint of colour which has been picked up in the backing papers.
I printed the images onto cream linen-look card and cut them out. They were then matted and layered onto 2 colours of cardstock. I then used vintage look papers and different layouts for each card finishing each one with flowers , ribbon, pearl embellies and a cricut generated sentiment.
The cards are 5 x 7" tentfolds.
Recipe as follows:
Papers- K & Co, Funky Hand Shabby Saturday,Basic Grey
Images downloaded from Google Images
Ribbon from my stash
Flowers -Prima
Self adhesive pearls- widely available from craft outlets
'Beautiful' cut from Opposites Attract (Upright) at 1"
I hope you like these cards and would love it if you gave them a go, maybe using vintage family portraits to create a family heirloom. You could mount them into a box frame and give them as a gift. Do you display your cards? If so I've got a really inexpensive idea to display cards which I will show you when it's complete.
Have fun

Bless You.....

I'm afraid to say that this card is a shameless CASE of a beautiful card from Creative Journey (sorry I can't remember the author's name!)

The card consists of an acetate circle decorated with gems and prima flowers .This is then mounted onto a base card decorated with more Summer Driggs paper. A strip of Paisley print paper has been mounted onto a strip of white card who's edge has been punched using a Fiskars border punch. This has then been adhered to a piece of paper which has been stuck to the front of a white tentfold card. Ribbon has been wrapped around the paisley strip. A cricut generated sentiment and gemstones completes the picture. The flowers and sentiments have been glittered with Stickles glitter glue (how unusual for me! NOT!!!) Very simple but stunning.

Recipe as follows:
Paper - Summer Driggs Download
Ribbon from my stash
Acetate -clear 'cardstock' from Jendenink Craftworks
Fiskars border punch
'Bless You'- Stone Script Solutions Cricut cart
Gems- papermania
Glitter glue- Stickles
To the lovely Sue attending a course at JDI this morning- as instructed....DON'T FORGET THE CAMERA!!!!!!

Very simple but very pretty!

Love is a vine......

Browsing through the many blogs available to see on the internet I came accross Summertime Designs by Summer Driggs. She has wonderful papers to download for FREE!!!!!!.So I downloaded almost everyone of her collections. They are lovely and include papers, some page ploppers(!!!!) and embellishments. They are,of course digital, but can easily be used by cardmakers.Have a look and see what you think!

This card was made with two of her design paper, cut into 6 by 12cms panels and adhered to a matted and layered white panel. Ribbon was wrapped around the two panels and the whole thing adhered with dimensionals onto the white panel. A cricut generated frame hold the sentiment 'Love is a vine that grows in out hearts' This was computer generated onto Safmat.

Paper flowers, and gems complete the picure! The card looks much better in real life than it does in this photo!

I love this card- I hope you like it too!
