A Twisted Birthday!.....

I tried a new type of the card the other day,a twisted easel. This one isn't my first attempt- I'll show you that one soon. I saw one made on C & C by Nancy and they are slowly cropping up on blogs. I was ready to scrap the whole idea when I made my first one- I wasn't happy with it and I wanted to make one on a C5 card which didn't work. Square is the only way to go for a single twister and DL for a double.
Our friends son is 21 today- Happy Birthday Rubes!- so I thought I'd make him a twisted easel card. The card base was a 6 1/2" square made into a twisted easel and decorated with DCWV Rock Star papers. The guitarist image was cut from brown mirri and adhered with foam pads to a panel embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder. A star punched border was adhered to the base of the card along with a circle holding the '21', which acts as the stop for the top of the card. A tag upon which to write a greeting was slipped into the side of the card.
'21','RUBIN' and 'Happy Birthday' were cut from blue mirri and adhered with foam pads.A scattering of punched stars complete the card.
As usual I kept the card simple 'cos it's for a bloke.
Carts used:
Guitarist & '21'- Quarter Note
RUBIN-Nifty Fifties
Happy Birthday- Stamping Solutions
Tag- George
Circles- Winter Woodland
Thanks for dropping by!
