A Mother gives.....
This is the first twisted easel card that I made, and to make things hard for myself I made a double twist easel! Why do I do it to myself?!! I really had to persevere with this one- it so nearly ended up in the bin. I'm glad that I pressed on with it though because I really like how it turned out.
I started off with a piece of A4 cardstock folded to C5, then cut down to 8 x 4. The front of the card was divided into two ( two 4 x 4 panels), scored diagonally and a piece of 4 x4 cardstock adhered to the resultant triangles.
I used Dovecraft Springtime papers for decorating, and embellished the card with a luxurious voile bow and a gorgeous butterfly (one of my faves) cut from pink mirri & hot pink glittercard. I cut a scalloped circle for each panel, putting the butterfly on one & the lovely sentiment (computer generated onto Safmat) on the other. Floral arrangements courtesy of Wild Orchid Crafts (except large dark pink flower)embellish each panel. A smattering of pink pearls and a tag tucked into the base complete the card.
Carts used:
Butterfly- Sentimentals
Scalloped/plain circles- Winter Woodland (or you can use George)
Tag- George
Thanks for dropping by!
