Jingle bells,jingle bells.......

jingle all the way!!!! I really like this card although my c**p photo doesn't do it justice. It's a very simple layout, mainly white with a flash of colour. The bells are cut from Joys Of The Season from gold Mirri card and mounted onto a 'stamp'. The paper is DCWV and the polka dot paper on the stamp and 'jingle' is by Doodlebug. In case you are wondering- I wasn't 2 sheets to the wind when I made this card-everything is supposed to be skew -whiff!!!
Carts used:
Jingle & stamp- Base Camp
All the way- All Mixed Up
Bells-Joys Of The Season
Jingle was raised on foam pads as were the bells, everything else is flat.

First Christmas card post!!!......

and there will be more! I also have the new Christmas Solutions cart. For those of you who haven't yet got a Christams Cart this is a good one to go for. It has very traditional images- a couple of Santas, a beautiful sleigh, 3 reindeer and these two images. A lot of fillagree on this cart it has to be said! I flipped the angel because I wanted it to face right. Merry Christmas was cut from Wild Card and HARK from Storybook. I used a lovely slub-silk effect card for the cuts as mirror card is chewed up on anything filligree. Gold metallic ribbon and some gems complete the cards.
Carts used:
Tree & angel- Christmas Solutions
HARK- Storybook
Merry Christmas- Wild Card
Thanks for dropping in!

Wild Card celebration!

Yeeeeaah! At last! I've got it! The new Wild Card cart. Wow! The cards you can make with this are fantastic (with matching envies too!) I made this card for my nephew Dan who has a birthday on Thursday. The champagne bottle wraps around the front of the card (it's technically a tri-fold card) and it comes complete with a cork!!!
I cut the card out at 8" and then drew around the bottle onto a piece of green card and cut it out. The gold label and neck wrapper were cut from the cart as was the Cheers sentiment. Inside I added a large Celebrate greeting. I had some cork patterned paper so I used that for the cork! Dan was cut using the alphabet section of the cart.
Carts used:
Card,sentiments and cork- Wild Card
Tag(around bottle neck)- George & Basic Shapes
The shadowing was cut by hand as there isn't a shadow function on this cart. Just a word of warning- I think that this cart is better suited to the Expression as some of the cards are cut really small and will not give a very substantial card and also you may not be able to cut out the corresponding envelope (there is a universal envelope cut provided for this circumstance). Just something to think about before splashing out £64.99!!!!
Anywho- Happy Crafting!!!
Heather
ps. I've also got the deep cut blade and housing- so far NOT IMPRESSED!! If anyone else has it and has had a problem getting it to cut- mine goes bonkers on 4!- please let me know where I'm going wrong! Thanks in advance! Heather

Ariel for Millie

Oops Sorry for the terrible photo but Blogger wouldn't let me upload the better one!!!
This is another Disney Princess card(well Duh!!)
this time for Amy's sister Millie. Compared to some images this one was relatively quick to put together, there aren't that many pieces to it. I cut Ariel at 4" with corresponding layers etc plus a shell (which is an icon) which was cut with RDS ON. I don't know whether you can tell but the front of the card is cut away around the shell. Millie's name is cut from glitter paper. The card front and inside back is covered with Pink Petticoat swirls and polka dots paper. The Happy Birthday was glittered and the shell decorated with glitter and tiny pearls. I added a pearl to Ariel's bra at the front. Instead of using the flower from the cart I added a Prima flower to her hair for a bit of dimension with a glittered brad. A piece of pearl decorated irridescent ribbon across the card front adds to the underwater look!
Carts used:
Ariel and shell- Dreams Come True
Happy Birthday & Millie- Wild Card

Snow White for Amy

I have three delightful little girls as neighbours and always make them a card for their birthdays-that was one reason why I bought the two Disney Princess carts. I'm not really a Disney fan but I will use these carts as I know enough little girls to justify buying them!
The images are lovely but take an age to construct and are A RIGHT FAFF!!!
I made this pretty pose of Snow White, mounted it onto a scalloped circle and put the whole lot on a card covered with white Doodlebug embossed paper. 'Snow White says Happy Birthday AMY' is from several carts (as per usual I'll list the in a mo) I finished the card off with tons of glitter and a bitten-into apple!
From now on I'll only list the carts I used as the rest is self explanatory I think!!
Carts used:
Snow White image- Happily Ever After
Snow White (word)- as above
says & happy birthday- Zooballoo
AMY-Storybook
Scalloped circle-Accent Essentials
Apple- Happily Ever After
Thanks for taking a look!

Pretty pram

This card was very simple with minimal layering. I cut the pram from the New Arrival cart from silver mirri board and DP from the Nana's Nursery stack from DCWV. Brads were added to the wheels and the hood . A 5cm panel was made from 3 strips of DCWV paper, ribbon and a bow added along with a Pink Petticoat Tiny Tags sentiment. This panel and the pram were stuck on to a white panel with dimensionals. I also made one from the boys stack in exactly the same way. Supereasy!!!
Recipe as follows:
5" x 7" Tent fold card
DCWV Nana's Nursery Girl stack
Silver mirri card
Papermania pink brads
Stash ribbon
Pink Petticoat Tiny Tags
New Arrival Cricut cartridge
Accent Essentials cart ( scalloped circle behind sentiment)
I have a few prams on different carts but I think that this is the prettiest one. It has a kind on vintage look to it, as though it should be pushed by a Norland Nanny!!!!
Thanks for looking!

Happy Anniversary!

I made this card for my brother and SIL for their 7th wedding Anniversary which was on Saturday.
The colours look a bit weak but it is actually a lovely dusky pink combo. I can't tell you how many times I made this card then chucked it! I just couldn't seem to get it right ( we've all been there right?!) I was following a sketch but it just wasn't working for me so I chucked that as well!
Then it all came together. The heart was cut three times from George -twice in card and once in spotty paper. These layers were then stuck together (this gives you a solidity akin to chipboard) and scuffed to give a weathered look. A layered flower was added ( brown, pink & cream layers to pick out the colours in the ribbon)
The 'seven' panel was cut from the Graphically Speaking cart and trimmed to fit. The ribbon is patterned with little flowers in shades of cream, coffee and pink. A Safmat greeting and gem stones complete the card.
Recipe as follows:
5" x 7" tent fold card
Doodlebug embossed paper
Spotty paper from Pink Petticoat
Bazill cardstock
Prima flowers
Papermania gems & pearl brads
Safmat from Letraset
George & Basic Shapes and Graphically Speaking Cricut carts

Just 4 you!!!

This card was made with new Graphically Speaking cart.I had waited sooo long for this cart and I nearly took the hands off the poor DHL guy when he delivered it to the shop- he couldn't get out of the shop quick enough!!! This cart is lovely. It has loads of phrases to cut along with icons to go with each phrase. This card was made for our niece Tara who is studying medicine in Melbourne. I cut the Just 4 you phrase twice in contrasting colours, chopped them about a bit and then reconstructed them to give a 2 tone effect. It was then layered onto a panel . A '4' was cut from patterned paper and a rub on adde to spell 'Tara' Before I stuck the blue layer to the pink I passed the phrases through a Xyron and then added ultrafine glitter. A flower, pearl brad and ribbon finish it!
Recipe a s follows:
Tent fold card - 7" x 5"
Designer paper
Bazill cardstock
Prima flowers
Papermania brads
Stash ribbon
Graphically Speaking Cricut cart.
Ultrafine glitter
Making Memories Heidi rubons
Hope you like it!
