Gatefold tree....

I've used a popular kind of fold for this card- a standard gatefold, but I went a little further with this one and punched the short edges of the cardstock with an EK Success border punch before I scored and folded it. I matted some script paper (Papermania) onto some gold mirri and adhered it each of the fronts. I then cut a shaped panel from gold spotted red paper (Papermania) with a gold mirri mat. I wrapped ribbon around it, then adhered another shaped mat, this time embossed, onto it with foam pads. I found the tree on Designer's Calendar and cut it from gold lirri, then added self-adhesive pearls for baubles. The completed tree was adhered with foam pads to the embossed panel.
I glittered a Helibore flower from here and along with some punched gold leaves and a couple of red roses adhered them with silicone glue to the top corner of the panel.
To finish the inside of the card I matted a piece of deep red paper onto gold mirri and added a shaped sentiment panel.

Here comes Santa!......

I thought that I'd share a shaped card today..a jolly, rosy cheeked Santa.

I cut 2 santa shapes from white card and joined them together at the top with PVA glue. I then cut another santa shape from flesh coloured card and adhered it to the base card. I added a little chalk to the cheek area to give him some rosyness! The beard and moustache were cut from white textured card then embossed with a Fiskars Texture Plate. The beard was adhered flat and the moustache with foam pads. The hat was cut from red card, the pom-pom added and then adhered to the base card. Googly eyes, a glittery red nose, hand cut eyebrows and a pair of specs made from gold wire complete the card. I also added a computer generated sentiment mounted onto red card and adorned it with punched holly leaves with red gem berries. A second holly bunch adorns Santa's hat.

Tri fold prezzie....

A change for you today ( is that a collective sigh of relief that I hear !?) ... a DL tri fold. I created the card on a Hougie Board, cut it on the diagonal, then punched the cut edge with an MS punch. I used Honey & Hugs papers from Papermania , then cut a large parcel from pink mirri card and added a glittercard bow. The parcel was embellished with a layered poinsetta and some punched glittercard leaves. It was then adhered over the punched border with foam pads. 'Christmas Wishes' was cut from green glittercard with a pink mirri shadow. Three candy dots were adhered to the top of the card, covered with glue then sprinkled with Glamour Dust.

Candy cane stepper.....

I love these candy canes! I've used them tons of times over the years for cards, hangings etc. They are a Christmas classic..who doesn't love 'em?!
I cut the candy canes from red & white glittercard (they are cut in 2 parts- solid white and red stripe) then adhered them together with PVA glue, which in my opinion is the ONLY adhesive that will stick glitter to glitter. Some people swear by silicone but I've never had any success with it. I criss-crossed the canes and glued them together with PVA again. I added a bow to the cross-over point. The canes were then mounted onto an embossed scalloped circle. The two side panels hold swirly peppermint sweeties on smaller scalloped circles. 'Merry Christmas' was cut from red glittercard and adhered to the bottom of the card with foam pads.

Frosty the snowman........

Oh dear! I fear that I am going to bore you all rigid with these pop-up stepper cards, but like I said...I can't stop making the blessed things!

This one was made with the stunning DCWV Winter Wonder stack. I teamed the papers with navy blue cardstock and some glittery white ribbon, Frosty was cut from white glittercard with a navy hat & scarf and black glittery buttons. I used teeny black gems for his eyes because the eyes cut along with the buttons were soooo small they were practically non-existant! 'Frosty' was cut from blue glittercard with a navy shadow. Both were adhered to a shaped panel cut from patterned paper with a navy shadow, further embellished with a layered glittery snowflake. More cricut-generated & punched snowflakes decorate the side panels, and a scattering of gems complete the card.

Step up and celebrate!.....

This was my 2nd attempt at a pop-up stepper card and I have to say that I LOVE this card. The colours are very elegant-black, gold, champagne. In fact, the paper is from the Elegance A4 pack by Papermania. It's beautiful paper, shimmery and silky!

I used 2 patterns for this card along with champagne-coloured pearlescent card and gold cardstock. I cut the shaped panel from champagne card, embossed it, then adhered it with foam pads to a gold mat. The champers bottle was cut from black mirri with gold label and neck-cuff.' Moet' was created with rub-ons and I think that it looks pretty good! The bottle was adhered to the shaped panel with foam pads. A velvety black bloom with a gold rose and a trio of punched gold leaves was adhered with silicone to the corner of the panel. I sprayed the rose with adhesive then dunked it in some gold Glamour Dust.Two champagne flutes with gold gem bubbles and glittery bows were adhered to the side panels, and 'Celebrate', cut from champagne card with a gold shadow was adhered to the narrow horizontal panel, over more gold ribbon. A couple more shimmery gold ribbons & some gems complete the card.

'Joy' Pop-Up Stepper......

I was watching Create & Craft (as you do) the other day, when I saw this style of card made. I thought it looked great so I got out a pad & pen and started drawing the design as the demonstrator was making it. After a few (!!!!!) aborted attempts I finally cracked it! Who needs polypropolene templates anyway?! The card format is like a double side-stepper, but the front section pops up due to an extra fold ( you can see the extra fold in the next photo). Now guess what people.... I can't stop making the blessed things!

They are really quick to put together (once you've done the measurin'/scorin'/foldin'!) and the panels give you lots of room to play with.

I used DCWV 8 x 8 paper/cardstock for this card, using gold card for the mats and 3 different papers for the panels. I cut a shaped panel for centre of the card from champagne coloured pearlescent card with a gold mat. I embossed the smaller panel with an embossing folder. 'Joy' was cut from dark red glittercard with a gold shadow, layered up, then adhered to the embossed mat with foam pads. A large poinsetta with some punched leaves were adhered above the word with silicone glue.

Beautiful red ribbon with a green centre stripe was adhered to the long, thin panel and a bow added. Two smaller embossed panels were adhered with foam tape to the side step panels and additional leaves and some gems were added to finish the card.
